In general, mold affects children more severely than adults, and Penicillium is particularly dangerous. Prolonged exposure to this particular spore can lead to the development of asthma and other breathing issues. Penicillium exposure will make your child sneeze uncontrollably for no apparent reason.

Even though it takes a larger and longer exposure, healthy adults can also experience allergies and respiratory problems thanks to mold. Mold can produce harmful mycotoxins. Never underestimate the danger of toxic mold - exposure can cause death or brain damage.

People’s reactions to mold exposure differ greatly. This means that even if you are not feeling any symptoms, somebody in your immediate family might start feeling negative effects. Take care to protect people in your family who already have lung complaints, as they are more susceptible to illness.
